Senior R&D Engineer (Mechanical)

Ambu Global Hub is expanding our R&D Team and we’re looking for a Senior R&D Engineer with mechanical engineering background to join us. 

 

As a Senior R&D Engineer you will be:-

 

  • Leading and participating in product design and development of product specifications, technical sourcing of materials and documents implementation of new projects and design changes.
  • Leading, participating, supporting, investigating, developing, and providing necessary technical expertise input, hands-on to test equipment, test jigs design (standard / customize) for pre-verification and pre-validation activities.
  • Initiating or supporting design changes in Ambu system according to procedures and are reviewed and approved according to regulatory and Ambu requirements.
  • Supporting the review and update of relevant QHBs and R&D documentation to ensure alignment and compliance with regulatory and Ambu requirements.
  • Designing and developing product component, assemblies, jigs and tools using Inventor or equivalent CAD software for new and sustaining products that meet or exceed technical specification, cost, time, reliability and quality requirement. Generating solid models, assemblies and drawings use Inventor or equivalent CAD software for the existing products, jigs and tools.

  • Verify or simulate components, assemblies, jigs and tools design in 3D CAD utilizing Inventor or appropriate analysing software.

  • To assists or generate rapid prototype build for the new product at concept phase state of the design and development to demonstrate solutions to particular issues that are to be resolved and to proof of design concepts.

  • Others ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the superior.

 

Suggested candidate profile

 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:

 

  • Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics or equivalent Engineering and find it easy to understand challenges in other professional areas. Understanding of molding processes and CAD design (tolerance stacking).
  • Some years of experience in product engineering and how to ensure a stable and reproducible assembly manufacturing processes. Experience with specification of tooling and product. 
  • Developing, specify, purchasing, testing and implementation of product in production.
  • It would be an advantage if you have the relevant experienc from Medical Device industry, including Design Control and Design Verification.
  • Openness to new technologies, sharing knowledge and experience, work processes and to work with other cultures. A team player to drive collaboration. Able to work with tight deadlines. 
  • Good communication skills (spoken & written) in English.
