R&D Lab Test & Administrator

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage all test and measuring instruments to ensure that they are well maintained with proper calibration and preventive maintenance conducted. 
  • Conduct daily laboratory 5S activities and propose continual improvement to the laboratory management. 
  • Take charge in the laboratory tests, engineering test study, documentation and support in the tools and jigs ideation.
  • Meet Product Engineering goals through strategies to solve problems, improve conditions and support activities setup, process flow and implementation.
  • Execute laboratory test assigned ensure the data accuracy and integrity to maintain the safe and efficacy use of product. 
  • Lead or assists in day-to-day activities of lab verification and engineering and laboratory operational improvement activities. 
  • Maintain the calibration and prevention maintenance of equipment, jig and tools in the R&D Laboratory. Ensure that all the replenished items are constantly replaced. 
  • Any Ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.

       Supporting tasks:

  • Support team in the product test method validation in Life Cycle Management activities.
  • Guide and mentor R&D Lab Intern.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Mechanics or equivalent Engineering and find it easy to understand challenges in other professional areas. 
  • Possess strong knowledge, skills, and hands on experience in product testing.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and repairs of machines, auxiliary equipment, installation and modification works. 
  • Good documentation practice and maintain the accuracy and integrity of test data. 
  • Possesses good communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands on knowledge in tensile machine, optical measurement system and torque tester is a plus.
  • Experience in equipment management and calibration is a plus.
