Then this might be your defining moment! Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist in a new role to be based in Ballerup to join our growing Distribution team in Global Supply Chain!

 

Key responsibilities

This role will have the responsibility of Ambu’s global trade compliance. You will have an opportunity to help shape the role, as we continue Ambu’s growth journey, but you will be the key knowledge resource for projects, individual customs cases, and data structure and maintenance.

You can juggle detailed HS code evaluations, whilst liaising efficiently with both and stakeholders. At the same time, you can use translate you in-depth understanding of trade regulations into high-level business risks and opportunities and convey this effectively to management.

Your main responsibilities will include below:

 

  • Ensuring that all our import/export activities are compliant with local laws and regulation
  • Updating and maintaining master data on HS codes and Country of Origin for products globally, including establishing a set-up for continued review and evaluation of the HS code
  • Responsible for the European customs set-up; handle customs cases as they arise, managing stakeholders, proactively communicating and gathering required input from the organization
  • Liaise with local Ambu entities’ regulatory- or legal professionals for local trade compliance
  • Monitor and risk assess changes to the global trade landscape to ensure Ambu is proactive in identifying risks and opportunities in our set-up
  • Participate and contribute with your expert knowledge in projects, identifying potential possibilities and risks

 

You will be part of a great team of 10, responsible for the distribution activities under Global Supply Chain.

 

Suggested candidate profile

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience working with import/export regulations, customs, international trade regulations and supply chain management
  • Expert knowledge of international trade compliance and regulatory compliance in relation to import/export, including customs, incoterms, HS codes, country of origin and duties
  • Experience with managing customs broker set-ups bu third party providers
  • Interest in global trade development and risk mitigation
  • Great communication skills and experience from larger organizations with complex stakeholder environments
  • Proven track record of successful stakeholder management in an international context
  • Have a good understanding of IT and particularly ERP systems operating in a global manufacturing organization
  • Knowledge from healthcare and operating in a regulated environment (an advantage, but not a prerequisite)

 

As a person you have a natural ability to engage stakeholders, both internally and externally, and can navigate in the volatile environment caused by the growing list of global Supply Chain disruptions. You face challenges head-on, but can get others onboard, and you deliver results both individually and as a team player.

 

About the Department

Join the Global Distribution team under Global Supply Chain in Ambu A/S, which currently consists of 30 people. You will, however, be working in a global context, where your stakeholders are located across the world.
