Global role with broad ownership 

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Architect to take on the dual role of leading the development and being the main driver of a new quality manufacturing platform. This system will be crucial in conducting various tests on our products to ensure the highest quality standards are met. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing this platform, which will be used globally across Ambu's production facilities. 

Key responsibilities  

  • Lead the design and development of a new quality manufacturing platform for product quality assurance. 

  • Act as the main driver and developer for the system, ensuring it meets all requirements and specifications. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration into production. 

  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment. 

  • Ensure the platform is scalable, maintainable, and robust. 

  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to the development team. 

 

Suggested candidate profile  

Setting you up for success is one of our cornerstones. In order to do so, we imagine you bring a proven track record in SW architecture or a SW Lead role, where you have utilized your strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes. 

Furthermore, you: 

  • Have a strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python 

  • Carry experience with test automation frameworks and tools 

  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

  • Are a strong communicator with leadership abilities 

  • Carry a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field – what truly interests us is your drive! 

  • Have the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment 

 

About the team 

In this role, you will join a team of 10 engineering professionals, with competencies spanning from DevOps to Test Automation. The team is characterized by a rigorous atmosphere and setting the bar high. The team has members both in Ballerup, Denmark and Penang, Malaysia.  

You will report to the Head of DevOps & Software Verification, David Andersen.
