Ambu is on a transformational growth journey, and we are looking for a Senior Communications Consultant to lead our efforts in communicating our global strategy, progress and goals to our 5,000 colleagues around the world.
As our Senior Communications Consultant, you will be responsible for driving our strategy communication internally. This involves developing a communication plan and strategic narrative, as well as crafting clear, impactful messages that showcase our global transformation, leadership and milestones across our key internal channels.
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications, you will form part of a global Centre of Excellence (four team members, including yourself) driving all internal and external communications in the organisation, each with individual focus areas. You will overarchingly own the internal communication agenda, including supporting our executive and senior leadership in crafting global change announcements and sharing success stories that align with our company's strategy, purpose and values. In your role, you will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring clear, consistent and aligned communications that stick.
This newly created role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate looking to take true ownership of our internal communications activities and drive global engagement. The role is based out of our HQ in Ballerup, Copenhagen.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and drive a global strategy communication plan and strategic narrative, ensuring clear messaging that resonate broadly and outlines our company’s high ambitions.
- Deliver impactful executive leadership communication and growth journey stories, while acting as a trusted sparring partner to our leadership team.
- Draft compelling content for our intranet and internal strategy newsletter, capturing global and local success stories, milestones and initiatives.
- Plan and execute on key internal communication events, such as quarterly global town hall meetings, global leadership summits and major cultural/international event, to promote organisational progress, drive employee engagement and highlight our shared Ambu culture and values.
- Engage in various ad hoc tasks in the Corporate Communications team, such as updating our intranet with new sites, forms and content, conducting employer branding interviews, as well as other relevant responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Strategic ideation and execution: You have strong strategic planning and project management capabilities. Furthermore, you have extensive experience in transforming these strategies into concrete action and are ready to take charge to make things happen.
- Excellent business acumen: You have a strong experience in translating business needs and decisions to a broad audience. This likely stems from a strong background in a multinational company operating in a complex environment.
- Communication skills: You possess excellent writing and storytelling skills in English, combined with the ability to transform complex topics into sharp and engaging messages that stick. Your relevant corporate experience is likely underpinned by a strong academic background.
- Collaboration skills: You are a team player with strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills and a curious, insights-driven mindset. You confidently share your opinions to achieve the best results, while also recognising the importance of constructive dialogue and an openness to new ideas and input.
- Technical proficiency: You are proficient with new technology, and you have experience working with Microsoft 365 (incl. SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint and Teams) and the Adobe package (incl. Photoshop) and Dynamic Web, to name a few.
