Key responsibilities

 

In the role you will have the opportunity to truly make an impact on the entire distribution set-up at Ambu, to ensure we continue to be reliable and efficient in supplying products to our customers – evidently, using these to improve patient care in each their fields.  

 

You have a knack for performing operational tasks efficiently, whilst having the overview to challenge our ways of working and looking into potential optimizations. We are working on streamlining our processes so we are prepared to support Ambu’s future growth, and you will be a part of this journey.

 

Two days will most likely not look the same, however, you will:

 

  • Drive distribution projects, e.g., RFP and RFQ’s for new 3PL set-ups and service-offerings
  • Represent Distribution perspectives in organizational improvement projects with distribution impact, such as improvement projects to ERP data set-up and compliance projects
  • Be the anchor within global distribution ensuring a cross-functional end-to-end perspective on distribution
  • Analysis of set-up and performance compared to cost structure
  • Long-term planning of global distribution needs vs capacity
  • Optimization of distribution processes

Suggested candidate profile

 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you have:

 

  • 5+ years of broad Distribution and Supply Chain knowledge
  • Master’s degree within Supply or Value Chain Management or similar educational background
  • Experience from global distribution set-ups using 3PLs
  • Project management experience from large projects with complex stakeholder environments
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience with supplier management
  • Have a good understanding of IT and particularly ERP systems operating in a global manufacturing organization
  • Knowledge from healthcare and operating in a regulated environment (an advantage, but not a prerequisite)
  • Infor M3 experience is an advantage

 

As a person you have a natural ability to engage stakeholders, both internally and externally, and can navigate in the volatile environment caused by the growing list of global Supply Chain disruptions. You face challenges head-on, but can get others onboard, and you deliver results both individually and as a team player.

 

About the Department

 

Join the Global Distribution team under Global Supply Chain in Ambu A/S, which currently consists of 25 people. You will, however, be working in a global context, where your stakeholders are located across the world. The Global Distribution team consists of 9 professionals, where we share the responsibility for operating and optimizing our European freight and distribution centres effectively and efficiently.
