About the role
As part of the Global NPI organization, you will collaborate closely with R&D designers to influence the product design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM and DFA). You will be responsible for designing, setting up, and validating the process.
While working from our Headquarters in Ballerup or our R&D office in Augsburg, you will join a global team of colleagues across Denmark, the USA, and Asia, and you will report directly to our Head of NPI located in Penang, Malaysia.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will be working with a Team of projects members from cross function to develop and deliver a new medical product to the market.
The role entails varied tasks; however, your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and/or participate in the development of manufacturing processes and process equipment of new and existing product lines according to current business strategy, quality management system and external regulations
- Process development, validation, optimization, definition of specification and implementation of manufacturing processes
- Utilize Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly approaches into process development work
- Responsible for development, specification, technical sourcing/ purchasing and implementation of internal and external manufacturing processes
- Optimize product or process design in cooperation with other functions within R&D
- Process experts for internal and/or external manufacturing processes
- Optimize process or product implementation using appropriate tools
- Must be part of an international and local integrated development team and participate in project task where and when required
Traveling might occur in the range of 0-20 days per year.
Suggested candidate profile
Setting you up for success is one of our cornerstones. To make this path achievable, you likely have experience within healthcare or the medical device industry, particularly in quality processes and design control, either in Engineering or R&D. Experience with risk management for medical devices is also a valuable part of your skill set.

- Carry a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline
