Key responsibilities  

 

In this role, you will: 

 

Drive technology projects to develop camera sensor, optical and illumination technology, which include and make functional prototype together with selected partner/supplier 

  • Scout and identify our latest camera sensor, optical and illumination technology. 

  • Work closely with a team consisting of mechanical, electronical engineer and selected supplier/partner to execute a technology project. 

  • Hands-on prototypes testing and design iterations.  

  • Present outcome of technology study to various stakeholder, such as marketing, sales, end-user and attendance on conference.  

 

Work in endoscope product project as main responsible for imaging quality, which include: 

  • Understand user need of the product and translate to imaging quality requirement 
    select right imaging solution, including sensor, optical and illumination. 

  • Secure integration of imaging solution into product, from scoping and concepting, prototypes development and testing, imaging calibration and imaging pipeline tuning.  

  • Supporting verification and submission. 

  • Support production regards to camera quality inspection and quality engineer and NPI engineer to solve camera issues. 

  • Participate in the user testing in the clinical setting and give technical support from an imaging point of view. 

  • Report and documentation according to medical device standard. 

 

You will join a passionate team consisting of 10 engineers, primarily skilled in imaging, but also mechanics and electrical skillsets. You’ll report into the Head of Camera Engineering, based out of HQ in Ballerup, Denmark.  

 

Suggested candidate profile 

 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you: 

 

• Have 5+ year experience on system engineering or technical lead of product development within camera imaging field. 
• Have a broad experience of designing and developing optical-mechanical component, such as camera, lens, illumination, and electronical wire design 

• Have a deep understanding of camera optical performance metrics, such as MTF, Depth of field, field of view, distortion, etc. 
• Carry proficient skills in camera testing and performance evaluation. 
• Have hands-on experience of working with ISP, camera calibration and imaging pipeline tuning. 
• Carry good understanding of mechanics and electronics is a strong plus. 
• Carry good communication skills. 
• Are innovative thinking and user centric.
