In the newly established role as Global Event Manager, you will be based out of our headquarters in Ballerup, where you will join the Global Brand & Marketing Communications team, reporting to the Director of Brand & Marketing Communication.
Plan and execute globally
As our new Global Event Manager, you will take full responsibility for the planning, organisation and coordination of our global congresses and virtual events. You will oversee every aspect, from strategy to execution and completion. To succeed, you will need to coordinate with internal teams such as Marketing Communications, Brand, and Product Managers from our 4 Business Areas (BA's).
Furthermore, you will:
- Develop event strategies and objectives in alignment with Global Marketing goals
- Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions
- Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, transportation, and accommodation arrangements
- Create and manage event timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Develop and implement promotional plans to maximize event attendance and engagement
- Monitor and evaluate event performance, providing post-event reports and analyses
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve event quality and effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and other legal requirements
Strong project management skills and attention to detail
To thrive in this role, you will need strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively. You should be prepared to travel approximately 50-60 days a year, both before and after congresses, to manage practical aspects and stay updated on global trends and best practices. You bring hands-on experience in planning and executing large-scale congresses and online events, ideally within a regulated business area such as Life Sciences
As a professional, you excel at managing all phases of an event while maintaining a strategic, global outlook. You are highly organised, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Your positive energy, structured approach, and self-motivated nature enable you to take ownership and responsibility. Additionally, you are team-oriented and thrive in dynamic environments. You hold a bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field, along with a
minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in event planning and management. Experience working in a headquarters role within a global corporation is highly preferred.
