Financial Controller

Key responsibilities

As Financial controller you will support our stakeholders in Ballerup and our Financial shared service centre in Malaysia. You will control and analyse the reported numbers, optimize our accounting processes, take part of the month end closing and be part of the forecast and budget process.

Your main responsibilities will include below:

• Month end closing activities, hereunder financial performance and cost controlling on cost center level.
• Ongoing assurance of financial accuracy and correctness of accounting.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure a good high quality in the reported numbers in the forecast and budget.
• Preparation of the Annual Report for Ambu A/S together with other subsidiaries.
• Ongoing optimization of accounting processes and assurance of compliance of these with current legislation.
• Adhoc analysis, reporting, and general support to the organization.

Suggested candidate profile

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:

• At least 3 years’ experience from a similar position
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Economics
• Solid accounting and analytical skills and like to work with a ‘hands on mentality’.
• Speak and write English fluent
• Mastering Excel
• Enjoys working in an international environment as well as experience working with a financial shared service centre

About the Department

You will be part of the Parent accounting team that consists of 4 dedicated and professional team members. The Parent Accounting team is responsible for accounting and forecast activities related to the headquarter and the Nordic Region. You will report to the Finance Manager, Parent Accounting. The Parent Accounting team is an integrated part of Global Finance & Accounting.  The Parent accounting department is responsible for accounting activities related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, fixed assets, VAT etc. supported by colleagues in our Financial Shared service centre in Malaysia.
