The role  

 

 

As Finance Business Partner, you’ll to seize the unique opportunity to partner with leadership across our Global Operations, covering our four manufacturing sites as well as Global Supply Chain and Procurement in driving profitable growth and set the financial agenda. 

In this role, you will take an essential position in our global budget and forecast process across global operations while being part of driving the global operations finance performance processes and outlooks. You can expect exposure to senior stakeholders and will be in close dialogue with Finance Business Partners from other functions at Ambu to ensure ongoing collegiate support and sparring. Within your own team, you can expect to work with leaders across Procurement, Supply Chain and other functions; analyzing and securing data-driven insights to the business, enhance reporting and help empower leaders within Global Operations taking informed decisions. 

The position is situated at our headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark, where you will report to the Senior Finance Manager, Global Operations who is reporting directly to COO.

Key responsibilities 


 

  • Lead the global budget and forecasting process for Global Operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, analyzing of data and strengthen forecast accuracy 
  • Partner up with stakeholders (VP’s from Manufacturing sites, Global Supply Chain and Procurement) in global operations to understand business drivers and challenge status quo
  • Drive KPI's within our manufacturing sites, inventory, and distribution cost
  • Support ad hoc analysis covering our manufacturing sites and global functions
  • Presentation of data analysis to key stakeholders across the wider business 
  • Complete understanding of consolidation and elimination processes for inventory and COGS in collaboration with our financial controlling team 
  • Secure transparency and accuracy for reporting of global inventory including monitoring of inventory levels and accuracy as well as identifying risk and opportunities.

Furthermore, we are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated to develop their skills and achieve a deep understanding of our business – whilst being a relatively fast learner, who is flexible towards change. 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:

 

  • Have a strong academic background with a Master’s degree in Finance, Business or similar field combined with solid experience within a global matrix organization.
  • Know your basics within accounting 
  • Carry experience in corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) as well as managing and analyzing trends related to financial metrics such as sales, production, expenditures, variances etc. 
  • Have a basic understanding of MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel. Knowledge about BI tools e.g. PowerBI is an advantage. It is important that you have an interest in these tools and are eager to develop your skillset to reach a proficient level.
  • Possess the ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, while working in a small team environment. 
  • Are a highly effective communicator, who can build internal and external relationships across the business with a high level of integrity.
  • As a person, you will have the ability to multi-task and work under time constraints and strict deadlines while providing a high level of service to the business.
  • As we’re a global business, and you’ll have stakeholders across the world, fluency in English, both oral and written is crucial for the role.
