A job with global impact

 

The role can be possessed out of our European offices in Copenhagen, Madrid, Bordeaux, Bad Nauheim or Milan or our US office in Columbia, MD.

 

As a Global Health Economist at Ambu, your mission is to support the sale and valuation of our innovative medical products. You’ll achieve this by generating robust HEOR evidence and developing customer and payer engagement tools. Your focus will be on high-value segments, ensuring that our products are positioned effectively in the market.

 

Overall, you will be responsible for global HEOR projects, both upstream and downsteam. Whilst two days will most likely not look the same, you will frequently be indulging in:

 

Upstream Products

  • Valuation and identification of clinical unmet needs within target segments
  • Perform health economic pricing analyses
  • Develop HEOR evidence strategies
  • Create and maintain core HEOR customer/payer engagement tools such as Budget Impact Models and other health economic models
  • Collaborate closely with environmental economists, product management, marketing, R&D, and local HEMA teams
  • Support localization of core HE models and materials

 

Downstream Products

  • Assist target sales territories in executing the HEOR evidence strategy
  • Design or oversee lighthouse HEOR studies during product launches
  • Provide global HEOR project oversight and downstream support
  • Leverage real-world evidence (RWE) to expand product adoption in target segments

You will join the Global Health Economics & Market Access team, reporting into the Head of the function. Traveling must be expected, approx. 20 days per year.

 

Suggested candidate profile

 

Setting you up for success is one of our cornerstones. In order to do so, we imagine you have an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Health Economics, Public Health or a related field. Further so, you carry strong experience, ideally 5+ years, within relevant HEOR experience from MedTech, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare governance entities.

 

Moreover, you carry:

  • In-depth understanding of health economics, and experience with health economic modelling
  • Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods
  • Familiarity with market access strategies, pricing, reimbursement, and health technology assessment processes
  • Experience with outcome research and real-world evidence (RWE)
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing
  • Excellent presenting skills with the ability to convey complex concepts at all levels
  • Capability to project manage HEOR projects from inception to completion
