Local role with global impact

In this role, you will be part of the Embedded Software Team in the Software and Electronics department within R&D out of HQ in Ballerup, Denmark. Our embedded team is diverse and consists of 9 developers and a SW test engineer. We focus on creating a modular platform with interfaces to the application SW team and the hardware team.   

 

The embedded software team works in a very collaborative and agile environment, where open and honest discussions are an integral part of the way we solve complex problems. For new team members, we value the willingness to learn new skills and the ability to grow, rather than already having detailed knowledge of everything.  

 

As an Embedded Linux Software Developer, you will take part in delivering our software projects within scope, time and quality. You will deliver high quality work in Yocto/Linux, C and C++ and collaborate with your team members about shaping the best possible solutions. 

  

More concretely, your work will involve the following: 

  • Develop and maintain our custom Linux Distro, firmware, software and drivers 
  • Work with your colleagues in the embedded team to maintain interfaces and support the application team
  • Support the documentation effort to comply with software medical device and cybersecurity standards 

  

Suggested candidate profile 
Setting you up for success is one of our cornerstones. In order to do so, we imagine you have a university background within electronics or computer science or similar and broad experience as a software developer. As a person you are eager to learn new skills as well as share your knowledge.

 

Experience of the following is required:

  • +5 years of experience in Embedded Software
  • Embedded Linux (preferably Yocto)

 

Experience or knowledge of the following is highly relevant: 

  • Board bring-up, development and maintenance of BSPs
  • DeviceTree
  • Developing SW and documentation for medical devices
  • Implementing Linux drivers 
  • Developing on Microcontroller (preferably ARM) and Zephyr RTOS
  • C, C++, Python, shell

 

English, both written and spoken, is crucial for the role.
