Director/Senior Director, Commercial Excellence

Ambu is currently looking for a Director/Senior Director, Commercial Excellence, reporting into our Chief Marketing Officer.
In this newly established role, you will work closely together with senior leadership across the business to build a new Commercial Excellence team, as well as develop and implement our global strategy in the field. This will include the responsibility of a team of around 7-8 FTEs, covering topics such as Sales Excellence, Sales Training, Health Economics and Market Access. Further, you will act as a key contributor to our wider commercial strategy, working closely together with other functions such as Pricing Excellence.

The role will be based in our HQ in Ballerup, Copenhagen, with a flexible approach to home working when desired.
Key responsibilities
You will be expected to:
• Identify and address key improvement opportunities in Ambu’s current commercial strategy
• Develop and implement a global Commercial Excellence strategy, ensuring a timely implementation in line with the available resources
• Build and develop a high performing team, including hiring and retaining new talents into Ambu
• Develop close relationships with senior stakeholders across the business to understand “must win” battles in each region and align the Commercial Excellence strategy to this
• Develop a globally consistent approach to Sales Excellence as well as Sales Training
Ideal qualifications and skillset
To succeed in this role, you will likely have some or all of the following:
• Experience leading a Commercial Excellence function in an international environment
• A good understanding of the Life Science industry, ideally with prior experience in either Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, or a related industry
• Strong stakeholder management skills across functions and cultures
• Proven success in developing high performing teams
• Strong communication skills in English
• Strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into tangible business strategies
