Global role with broad responsibility  

Ambu A/S is currently looking for an AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) Lead to be based in Ballerup, Copenhagen. In this role, you will spearhead Ambu’s AI initiatives by establishing and driving growth of the new Centre of Excellence. This center will focus on fostering AI adoption, training, development, and delivering business value with AI as your forefront tooling. You will play an essential role in supporting business units to leverage AI in their processes and translating business requirements into actionable AI solutions. 

You will be reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Strategy, Architecture, and Master data.  

Key responsibilities 

• Collaborate with Lines of Business Product Owners, stakeholders, and developers, including data scientists, engineers, business analysts, to define implementation goals, scope, and timelines. 

• Be an an AI Playing Coach and adoption leader. As CoE Lead, you will develop, guide, and drive both small and large initiatives within Ambu, recognizing the strategic, tactical, and operational value of each initiative. Lead adoption efforts through “Prompathons”, town halls, and roadshows, showcasing and demonstrating AI products and solutions. 

• Manage AI initiatives by overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of AI-related projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. 

• Coordinate multiple projects and product roadmaps to achieve synergies and benefits that cannot be realized by managing projects individually. 

• Balance tactical and strategic responsibilities by managing day-to-day project dependencies while maintaining a broader, strategic perspective to integrate program management and long-term goals. 

There is in Ambu a separate function within Research and Development focusing on the development of AI solutions for our marketed products, particularly for our Endoscopy solutions. The AI Center of Excellence will focus on the use of AI in our business processes, while R&D takes full ownership of the development of our products. 

Essential working relationships 

In this role, you will serve as the crucial link between Business and IT, translating requirements, building super user networks, and facilitating workshops and hackathons across business units. You will ensure that Data Science and AI remain key focus areas for the Data Engineers and the Data & Analytics team. Additionally, you will lead and drive the AI Board and Executive Forum for AI, ensuring that stakeholders at all levels have visibility into and a voice in Ambu’s AI journey. 

Suggested candidate profile

In order to do so, we imagine you have solid leadership experience in team, project, or product management, along with a proven track record in coordinating and facilitating interactions with business stakeholders to drive business outcomes. 

Skills and experiences can be gained in many ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be easily described. However, you are likely to succeed in this position if you: 

• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Science and/or AI 

• Bring 3-5 years of expertise in Data Products and Product Management 

• Are passionate about driving and implementing AI solutions to enhance internal efficiency 

• Are an excellent communicator 

• Have experience in regulated industries such as Pharma, MedTech, or Life Sciences particularly with GxP compliance 

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
