In our team, we are specialized in test and verification of medical devices. As a test and verification engineer, your role is to participate in product development projects from early prototype development to launch of new products. You will be responsible for all stages including test and verification during updates of marketed products.

 

 Key responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement project test and verification strategies globally.
  • Drive the identification and reuse of test methods while spearheading the development of new test methods in both mechanical and electronic domains.
  • Utilize creativity to design new test setups and demonstrate a hands-on approach by actively engaging in laboratory work.
  • Contribute to projects by:
  • Planning test and verification activities on a global scale.
  • Reviewing requirements and specifications.
  • Designing and developing test methods and protocols.
  • Conducting both informal and formal tests to assess performance during and after development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in Germany, Malaysia, and Denmark to establish and execute test procedures.
  • Reporting test results and identifying defects.
  • Coordinating with various project stakeholders across different locations.
  • Ensuring that documentation complies with FDA and ISO standards is an integral part of the role.

 

 

Suggested candidate profile

 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:

 

  • Hold an engineering degree, with a preference for backgrounds in medical or mechanical engineering.
  • Ideally, bring experience with requirement and test management tools, as well as involvement in cross-functional product development.
  • Have experience in statistical methods and tools (e.g., Minitab).
  • Have experience with the use of standards (e.g., IEC 60601).
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibit curiosity and a genuine desire to learn.
  • Possess a sharp eye for detail and an ability to connect the dots to see the bigger picture.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills in English, both spoken and written, to actively engage with diverse cross-functional teams worldwide.
  • Proficiency in German is advantageous.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities, vital for fostering collaboration within dynamic work environments.
  • Display a readiness to travel approximately 10-20 days per year, primarily to our manufacturing facility in Malaysia.
