Key responsibilities  

In this role, you will drive technology projects to develop camera sensor, optical, and illumination technology, including making functional prototypes with selected partner/supplier. 

  • Scout and identify our latest camera sensor, optical, and illumination technology. 

  • Conduct technology work on latest imaging technology with selected partners and suppliers.

  • Present the outcomes of technology studies to various stakeholders, such as marketing, sales, end-user, and at conferences.  

You will also have opportunities to work directly in our endoscope project with responsibilities as an imaging engineer, which include:

  • Collaborating with marketing and project managers to deeply understand user needs and identify imaging solutions tailored to those requirements.
  • Securing the integration of imaging solutions into products, from scoping and concepting to prototype development and testing, imaging calibration, and imaging pipeline tuning.  

  • Supporting production regarding camera quality inspection and assisting quality and NPI engineers in solving camera issues. 

  • Participating in user testing in the clinical settings and providing technical support from an imaging perspective. 

  • Reporting and documenting according to medical device standards. 

 

Suggested candidate profile 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. However, you are likely to succeed in this position if you: 

  • Have 3+ years experience in system engineering or as a technical lead in product development within the camera imaging field. 
  • Have  experience in designing and developing optical-mechanical components, such as cameras, lenses, and illumination. Knowledge of electronics and mechanical considered as strong advantage.
  • Have a deep understanding of camera optical performance metrics, such as MTF, depth of field, field of view, distortion, etc. 
  • Carry proficient skills in camera testing and performance evaluation. 
  • Have hands-on experience working with ISP, camera calibration, and imaging pipeline tuning. 
  • Have good communication skills
