Are you a people-focused leader with a strong technical background in Data & Analytics? Do you enjoy developing high-performing teams, engaging with business stakeholders, and driving the delivery of enterprise data solutions?

We are looking for a Team Lead – Data & Analytics to join our team in Penang, Malaysia. In this role, you will lead a team of talented data professionals while serving as the Service Delivery Manager for our Data Warehouse and Data Platform services. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, evolution, and business value of our global data solutions.

 

Key responsibilities

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Data & Analytics professionals.
  • Drive employee engagement, performance management, and career development.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning activities.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team culture.

Service Delivery Management

  • Own the delivery and operational management of Data Warehouse services.
  • Ensure platform stability, availability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, service levels, and operational processes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external support partners where required.

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Consulting

  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders across the organization.
  • Understand business challenges and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts and solution options in a clear and business-friendly manner.
  • Support prioritization of initiatives and management of business demand.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide guidance and oversight across Data Warehouse, Analytics, Integration, and Data Platform initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards.
  • Support the adoption of modern cloud-based technologies and best practices.

Project Delivery

  • Lead and contribute to the successful delivery of strategic Data & Analytics initiatives.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.

 

Suggested candidate profile

 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams within a Data & Analytics environment.
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and Business Intelligence concepts.
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies and cloud-based data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Azure Data Services, Data Engineering, Analytics, or Master Data Management solutions.
  • Experience in service delivery, IT operations, or application management.
  • Experience working within a global or multinational organization.
