Are you a passionate and results-oriented procurement professional with a strong drive within supplier value creation, sourcing and category management? Are you driven, proactive, and experienced in heading multiple indirect spend categories?

Then we are offering a great opportunity to join Ambu’s Global Procurement organization at our headquarter in Ballerup, Denmark - and become a key part of our procurement transformation journey.

This position is responsible for leading the planning and execution of multiple global indirect spend categories to drive savings, value and further efficiencies. You will work closely with stakeholders and procurement colleagues across our global sites – including Germany, the US, Mexico, China, and Malaysia – ensuring alignment, knowledge sharing, and best practice implementation. The position reports to the Head of Global Indirect Procurement & Capex.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, provide strategic guidance, and ensure alignment with procurement goals.
  • Develop and implement global category strategies to achieve optimal value, cost savings, and efficiency.
  • Translate category strategies into actionable plans and drive their implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and ensure supplier performance meets company standards.
  • Negotiations & Contract Management: Prepare and conduct high-stakes negotiations while ensuring effective contract implementation and performance monitoring.
  • Data-Driven Insights & Digitalization: Analyze categories, spend patterns, supply markets, and cost drivers to identify improvement opportunities and synergies across sites together with the newly created Procurement Insights department.
  • Sustainability & Risk Management: Engage in sustainable procurement initiatives while managing supply chain risks effectively.
  • Challenge the Status Quo: Continuously seek opportunities for innovation and improvement. 

 

Suggested Candidate Profile:

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways. You are, however, likely to succeed in this position if you possess:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Business or Finance and around 3-6 years of working experience. 
  • Experience in planning and executing global indirect spend categories to drive savings, value and further efficiencies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and act on areas for improvement.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong business relationships.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (P2P, Spend Analysis, eSourcing & eAuctions, Contract Lifecycle Management).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
