Designing solutions for next-generation endoscopy systems
At Ambu, we develop innovative endoscopy solutions used by healthcare professionals around the world. As part of the EndoIntelligence Solutions area in the Global R&D organization, you will work closely with colleagues across engineering, product management, operations, quality, and regulatory affairs to develop solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
As Hardware Solution Architect you will play a key role in defining and maturing hardware solutions for our endoscopy platforms. Working closely with systems engineers, project teams, engineering specialists, suppliers, and technology partners, you will help ensure solutions are technically robust, scalable, and aligned with overall system requirements.

Key responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Participate in early-phase product development activities, including concept development, technology evaluations, and feasibility assessments.
- Guide the development and maturation of hardware solutions in collaboration with cross-functional development teams.
- Define and maintain solution architectures for new products and platform developments.
- Collaborate across mechanical, electronics, optics, manufacturing, and software disciplines to develop integrated system solutions.
- Support architectural trade-off discussions balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, risk, and cost.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with system requirements, architectural principles, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers and technology partners on technical evaluations, component selection, and solution development.
- Contribute technical input to project planning and development activities.
- Maintain solution documentation and support architectural reviews.
- Support development and verification activities by helping resolve technical challenges and identifying potential risks.

- Hold a degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or a related technical field.
- Have experience developing complex products involving multiple technologies and engineering disciplines.
- Have experience with technical solution design, system architecture, or product development.
- Have experience with medical devices or other regulated industries.
- Enjoy working across disciplines to solve technical challenges and drive alignment.
- Have experience collaborating with external suppliers, development partners, or technology providers.
- Possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Thrive in a collaborative and international environment.
English language proficiency, both written and spoken, is crucial for the role.
