Job Title: Senior Manager, Data Analytics & Platforms

Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Enterprise Data and Analytics Platforms is responsible for defining, building, and evolving the data, analytics, and business intelligence foundation that supports Ambu's North America Commercial Operations organization. This role serves as the strategic and technical leader for commercial data platforms, reporting, analytics, and data enablement across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Corporate Accounts, and Commercial Operations.
Operating in close partnership with Global Business Intelligence and Global IT, this role ensures North America business requirements are aligned with enterprise technology standards, governance frameworks, and long-term data strategy. The position acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating commercial priorities into scalable solutions while fostering global collaboration, consistency, and innovation.
The role is accountable for developing reliable, secure, and scalable data platforms that enable reporting, analytics, AI, and decision support while advancing Ambu's global data strategy and supporting regional commercial growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Data & Analytics Strategy
- Lead the North America Commercial Operations data and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and growth objectives.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Service, Corporate Accounts, and Commercial Operations leadership to identify opportunities where data, analytics, AI, and technology can improve decision-making, productivity, and business performance.
- Establish and maintain a multi-year roadmap for commercial data, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities.
- Serve as the primary liaison between North America Commercial Operations, Global Business Intelligence, and Global IT to align business priorities, solution design, and enterprise standards.
Business Intelligence & Decision Support
- Lead the development and evolution of reporting, dashboards, KPI frameworks, and analytical solutions that support commercial performance management.
- Establish standards for metric definitions, reporting consistency, and data transparency across commercial functions.
- Deliver actionable insights that support forecasting, performance management, strategic planning, customer engagement, and operational excellence.
- Drive adoption of analytics and self-service reporting capabilities across the commercial organization.
Commercial Data Management & Governance
- Establish data governance practices that improve data quality, consistency, stewardship, and accountability across commercial processes and systems.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define and maintain critical commercial data assets, hierarchies, master data, and reporting standards.
- Identify data gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve data reliability and accessibility.
- Ensure commercial data practices align with enterprise governance, compliance, and security policies.
Data Architecture & Business Enablement
- Define scalable commercial data models and information frameworks that support current and future business requirements.
- Ensure alignment of commercial data structures across Salesforce, ERP, service, finance, marketing, and other enterprise systems.
- Translate business requirements into sustainable data solutions that support reporting, analytics, AI, and operational processes.
- Partner with Global Business Intelligence to align North America reporting and analytics capabilities with enterprise standards and strategic objectives.
Data Integration & Platform Enablement
- Lead the business design and prioritization of commercial data integrations, automation initiatives, and data workflows.
- Partner with Global IT to ensure commercial data platforms, integrations, and analytics solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Enable efficient movement and accessibility of data across systems to support reporting, analytics, and commercial processes.
- Continuously improve automation, efficiency, and usability of commercial data assets and platforms.
Commercial Technology & Analytics Solutions
- Partner with North America business leaders to prioritize technology investments and analytics capabilities that drive growth, productivity, and customer engagement.
- Act as the business owner for commercial analytics and reporting solutions, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technology delivery.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and analytics tools that can enhance commercial effectiveness and decision-making.
- Promote adoption of data-driven processes and tools through training, communication, and change management.
Global Business Intelligence & IT Partnership
- Represent North America Commercial Operations in enterprise data, analytics, and technology initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Global Business Intelligence to align KPI definitions, reporting frameworks, semantic models, and analytics priorities across regions.
- Partner with Global IT on platform capabilities, data integrations, security requirements, access controls, and technology roadmaps.
- Coordinate cross-functional priorities, project delivery, solution enhancements, and support activities to ensure successful execution and business adoption.
- Advocate for North America commercial requirements while supporting enterprise-wide consistency, governance, and collaboration.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in data architecture, data engineering, platform engineering, or related technology roles.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing technical teams, projects, or enterprise data initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based data platforms and enterprise data solutions.
- Experience developing and managing data integration processes, ETL pipelines, and large-scale data environments.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, database design, and data governance principles.
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Understanding data security, privacy, compliance, and cybersecurity best practices within enterprise environments.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with modern cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience supporting analytics, business intelligence, AI, and machine learning initiatives.
- Knowledge of API development, systems integration, and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks and master data management strategies.
- Relevant industry certifications in cloud technologies, data engineering, architecture, or cybersecurity.
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, or pharmaceuticals.
- Proven ability to lead technology transformation initiatives and build scalable data platforms from the ground up.
