R&D Lab Engineer

Ambu is currently looking for a R&D Lab Engineer. 

This position reports to the Section Manager for R&D Lab Engineering. If you are from medical device industry with experience in any R&D function, this position would be suitable for you. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory testing and validation activities to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant results supporting product safety and performance.
  • Support Product Engineering projects through laboratory verification, process improvements, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Manage calibration, preventive maintenance, and qualification of laboratory equipment, including Installation Qualification (IQ) activities.
  • Develop and maintain validation protocols, reports, and technical documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze test and validation data, perform root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to improve equipment and process performance.
  • Support R&D procurement, logistics, inventory management, and laboratory administrative activities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support test method validation and Life Cycle Management (LCM) projects.
  • Mentor and guide R&D Laboratory interns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development, verification, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we can understand that the best ft for the role cannot be prescibbed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in any engineering discipline
  • Some years of experience in lab or medical industry
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Shell Script
