We are growing and expanding our Manufacturing Site in Mexico! In the job as Production Supervisor Jr.  you will have the opportunity to actively support the organization by meeting ensuring that our manufacturing site runs as needed to have the growth expected of the products we make in Mexico, excel in your own daily tasks and responsibilities, and experience a very varied working day in a dynamic.
 
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:


•    Support Production Supervisor and act as supervisor fill-in when needed.
•    Assist in monitoring team performance to ensure adherence to standards, quality expectations, and daily production plans.
•    Input, verify, and help analyze production data across reporting systems to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
•    Address employee concerns, escalating to appropriate personnel when necessary, and following up to ensure resolution.
•    Assist in administering corrective actions under supervisor guidance and contribute to employee recognition efforts through the company reward system.
•    Foster open communication, positive morale, and teamwork across production employees.
•    Promote and maintain product quality by supporting organizational standards and ensuring compliance with established processes.
•    Maintain a safe, clean work environment by educating and guiding personnel on the proper use of equipment, resources, and PPE.
•    Support employee training initiatives and work with the Training Department when employee needs support with training related topics. 
•    provide guidance to Manufacturing Group Leaders and contributing to their development.
•    Assist in the effective use of manufacturing resources and assets to optimize efficiency.
•    Work additional hours or shifts as needed to support operational requirements.
•    Perform other related duties as assigned.


Authority:
•    Stop production when product is not meeting the quality specifications.
•    Discard products that have been damaged, contaminated or do not conform to product specifications.
•    Discipline employees in accordance with company policy and involvement from the next level up of leadership
•    Summon maintenance technicians as needed.
•    Report safety, quality or other concerns on the line side or department boards and responsible personnel.  

Qualifications / Education:

•    High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training a plus.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
•    Prior experience in the medical device industry (or other regulated industry) preferred.
•    Ability to stand for extended periods and walk frequently throughout the workday.
•    Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Previous leadership experience (e.g., Lead, Group Leader, or Supervisor role).
•    Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and/or formal lean training.
•    Degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

 

Work Environment:  


This is a manufacturing facility and as a result, employees have the potential to be exposed to noise, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, machinery, vibration, or other workplace hazards controlled within compliance of current safety and health standards.
