Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Total Rewards Manager to be based in Penang, Malaysia.
You will be part of the People and Culture team in Malaysia directly reporting to the People and Culture Director. You have full responsibility designing, implementing, and managing Ambu Malaysia’s employee compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive, fair, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
This role will be based out of our Penang Global Hub, where you are joined by colleagues in global roles across People & Culture and broader functions. Ambu Malaysia is a fast-growing site, currently more than 2000 people strong spanning across multiple functions such as Operations, R&D, Shared Services and Sales & Marketing. The position is well suited to a candidate who is keen to use their strong analytical and technical skills to drive the People and Culture agenda of the company forward.
Key responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Partnering Corporate Total Rewards to implement global framework and processes effectively in Malaysia.
- Develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct job evaluations and market surveys. Ensure compensation policies are competitive and align with industry standards.
- Prepare and manage budgets. Forecast costs and impacts of compensation and benefits plans.
- Stay updated with trends. Keep abreast of the latest compensation and benefits trends and legislation.
- Actively involved in local HR network to keep updated on latest HR practices among the industry.
- Drive alignment in C&B practices and processes between entities and business functions.
- Continuously drive C&B process and policy improvement focusing on digitalization and automation.
Suggested candidate profile
Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:
- Previous experience as a Compensation and Benefits Analyst/ HR Manager or similar role.
- Experience with Success Factor or payroll software.
- Knowledge of building compensation packages and bonus programs.
- Good understanding of job evaluation and job analysis systems.
- Good analytical skills and familiarity with labour legislation.
- Good understanding of local C&B benchmark and practices.
- Strong experience HR in process improvement and optimization.
- Good communicator with strength in stakeholder management.
- Educational background in Human Resources Management, IT, Finance, or a relevant field.
