Team Lead (GL, Inventory to COGS, and Analysis)

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Ledger (GL) Management

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in collaboration with FSS and local finance managers.
  • Maintain chart of accounts and work with Finance Directors and Finance managers to progress towards complete harmonisation.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Ensure integrity of financial systems and processes, including ERP maintenance and improvement.
  • Create, update and perform training of relevant members of the global finance community.

 

2. Inventory to COGS

  • Secure timely update of standard cost prices across all Sales Territories
  • Coordinate update of cost princes with finance managers in factories
  • Support inventory valuation, COGS accuracy, and inventory audits.
  • Perform and own calculation of internal profits on global inventories
  • Perform and own calculation of indirect production costs on global inventories (IAS 2)

 

3. Analysis

  • Analyse actual performance vs. budget/forecast and provide actionable insights on select areas.

 

4. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and financial analysts.
  • Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
