Purpose of the Position

The Solution Architect for End User Computing (EUC) is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of solutions that enable secure, scalable, and efficient digital workplaces. This role focuses on architecting and integrating endpoint technologies—including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, virtual desktops (VDI), and collaboration platforms—to support business productivity and user experience. The architect ensures solutions are aligned with organizational strategy, compliance requirements, and industry best practices, driving innovation and continuous improvement in EUC services. This is a global role that requires collaboration across regions and time zones. The architect is expected to work effectively with distributed teams, adapting to varying schedules to ensure seamless delivery and alignment across geographies.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Design & Strategy

  • Develop and maintain EUC architecture blueprints and roadmaps.
  • Design secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions for endpoint management, device provisioning, and application delivery.
  • Define and drive EUC adoption strategies, including migration to modern workplace platforms (e.g. Windows, Linux, Mac, Microsoft 365, Intune).
  • Evaluate and select appropriate EUC technologies and platforms.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and support teams.
  • Lead solution design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and business teams to ensure EUC solutions meet regulatory and business requirements.

Innovation & Optimization

  • Research emerging EUC technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
  • Drive automation and self-service initiatives (e.g., device onboarding, patching, remote support).
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, performance improvement, and operational efficiency.

Governance & Documentation

  • Establish and enforce EUC architecture standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Document solutions, decisions, and technical designs for knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to security, privacy, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, NIS2, GxP ).

Stakeholder Management

  • Translate business requirements into technical EUC solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Influence and align stakeholders on architectural decisions.
  • Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones to ensure consistent architectural standards and solution delivery.

Key Competencies:

 

  • Deep expertise in EUC platforms such as  (Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, iOS, VDI, M365, Intune).
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security, device management, identity and access management, and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with automation, scripting, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Cross-culture communication: Collaboration with colleagues from diverse culture backgrounds, ensuring effective communication and understanding.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years in EUC architecture or endpoint management roles.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator).
