Are you a technically sharp SEO expert who thrives on optimizing websites for performance, visibility, and compliance?

Do you get excited about structured data, crawling strategies, and making websites fast and search engine friendly? Then this might be your next great opportunity!

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical SEO Specialist to take ownership of the technical health and search performance of Ambu’s global websites.

A role with global impact

As our Technical SEO Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring Ambu’s websites are technically sound, search engine optimized, and compliant with global standards. Based in our Global Hub in Penang, you’ll join the Digital Marketing Team within Global Brand & Marketing Communication, collaborating with colleagues across HQ and international markets.

With a structured mindset and a deep understanding of web technologies, you’ll take charge on technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and backend governance—ensuring our digital presence is fast, discoverable, and future-proof.

Key responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of all technical SEO tasks across Ambu’s global websites, developing and implementing strategies for crawling, indexing, site architecture, semantics, and structured data.

  • Monitor and resolve technical issues such as broken pages, orphan pages, redirect chains, and other SEO blockers and administer the DW9 CMS backend.

  • Identify and execute performance optimization initiatives to improve Core Web Vitals across Ambu’s global websites— lazy loading, image compression, caching strategies, and script management to ensure fast, responsive, and high-performing digital experiences.

  • Collaborate closely with Digital marketing team, to align technical SEO and compliance with broader digital strategies, by conducting taxonomy audits and improvements to ensure consistent hierarchy, canonical and hreflang tagging, pagination, and internal linking, bringing insight on SEO trends and best practises.

  • Understand our hosting environments and support troubleshooting server-related issues in collaboration with our agency, and ensure updated cookie consent regulations, domains, accessibility standards (WCAG), and other digital policies in close alignment with Legal.

You bring:

  • 5 + years' experience with technical SEO, ideally within international website environments

  • Deep understanding of website architecture, semantics, crawling, indexing, and structured data.

  • Hands-on experience with HTML, Javascript and SEO tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Tag manager, SemRush and others.

  • Proficiency in CMS platforms (DynamicWeb 9 is a plus)

  • Strong analytical and structured mindset with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights.

  • A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for technical SEO trends and innovation.
