Ambu is currently looking for a Senior Technical Engineer to be based in Penang. This position is reporting to Technical Manager and will be attached to our Penang production.
Key responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage and maintain control system for manufacturing equipment (hardware and software).
- Conduct engineering studies and provide engineering solutions for technical related issues.
- Coordinate and support technical maintenance team in setting up production equipment.
- Ensure equipment are well maintained and operate at optimum condition with minimum breakdown.
- Carry out process improvement activities (LEAN-OEE), cost saving activities and quality-productivity improvement activities.
- Coordinate and support validation engineer in carry out validation activities for new production equipment.
Suggested candidate profile
Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:
- Possess minimum Degree or technical certification in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years related experience.
- Experience and interest in programming (PLC).
- Hands on experience in electrical & electronics troubleshooting would be added advantage.
- Ability to run self-directed projects, maintain timelines, stay organized, and balance multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to interact with all levels of employees.
- Knowledge of statistical process control, failure mode effect analysis, design of experiment, process validation, lean and six sigma tools will be an added advantage.
- Medical device experience and knowledge in ISO 13485 and 21CFR820 would be an added advantage.
