Key responsibilities:
- Support R&D month-end closing in compliance with accounting standards and group policies, including but not limited to:
1. Walk through each R&D cost center and R&D project to ensure the correctness of GL bookings.
2. Prepare and post accruals for R&D costs incurred.
3. Walk through GL bookings to ensure compliance control, recognition of OPEX or CAPEX, etc. - Assist in budgeting and forecasting as well as performing variance analysis for R&D capacity costs, headcount, and time registration.
- Reporting on R&D tangibles and intangibles project expenditures.
- Follow up on actual expenditure for R&D tangible projects to ensure they are within budget.
- Maintain R&D project master data and align within all financial systems.
- Collaborate with project managers/stakeholders to provide financial insights and support project planning.
- Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives within the global R&D function.
- Responsible for investigating technical issues derived from daily activities and others and following up on the issues until they are solved.
- Able to handle any ad-hoc task assigned from time to time.
- Support financial audits in Ambu Group, in which the areas are handled by Financial Shared Services.

- Candidates must possess at least a Professional Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- At least two years of working experience are required for this position.
- Individuals with an R&D background and working experience in MNCs will have an added advantage.
- Possess strong financial analysis skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc., is preferred.
- Possess a good attitude, be self-motivated, proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
- Able to perform tasks assigned independently and act as a good team player in collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Travelling might be required.
