In this role, your primary responsibility is to support engineers in the initial investigation of product failures related to market complaints, as part of a dedicated team of 10 members. As a technician, you will be responsible for managing complaint samples received from the market, including movement of sample to lab, performing sample disinfection, organizing proper sample storage, and ensuring appropriate disposal of sample waste.
This technician role offers valuable development opportunities for building both technical and cross-functional skills. Through hands-on involvement in complaint sample handling and product failure investigations, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of product design, manufacturing processes, and quality systems. Working closely with engineers and manufacturing teams also enhances your communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities. Over time, this experience can serve as a strong foundation for career growth into roles such as senior technician, quality engineer, or roles in continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conduct initial investigations and simulations related to product complaints.
- Prepare and document preliminary complaint investigation reports.
- Receive complaint samples, transport them to the lab, perform unboxing, and carry out disinfection on complaint samples.
- Input initial complaint details into the complaint tracking database.
- Package complaint samples or device components for shipment to suppliers for further evaluation.
- Manage the storage of complaint samples and coordinate proper disposal with designated personnel.
- Assist with basic repairs of lab equipment or tools when issues arise.
