This sets high demands to your project management skills, business and technical understanding, and broad medical device development experience.

 

About the Department

The global team consists of strong project manager profiles, UX researchers and solution architechts - and is based across our Innovation sites in Ballerup, Denmark, Ausburg, Germany and Penang, Malaysia. We are driving the active product development portfolio within the Busines Areas GI & Urology, and we are involved from early screening to sucessful launch... and keep product responsability, with a secondary discipline in Product Lifecycle Management. We take pride in being a global team, with different cultures, close, trusting relations, and one common goal: improving patient care.   

 

Key responsibilities:

As Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead development projects from early scoping through development, production setup, and product registrations, following the product to market introduction
  • You will together with your team develop and mature new production technologies, establish the first production line and production for samplebuilds, and initial launch
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Project Manager, Global Marketing and Clinical departments to ensure customer needs are integrated into the design
  • Head a cross-functional international team through all development stages, following Ambu's innovation process
  • Mature new technologies to deliver advanced and innovative solutions, ensuring high quality and compliance

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Establishing a motivating and collaborative working environment in a global project team
  • Maintaining close collaboration with globally based stakeholders, especially with the Solution Steering Committee, to align on resources, timelines, budgets, and strategies
  • Setting direction and tracking project budgets and progress
  • Being part of the Gi & Urology Solutions Team, sharing and supporting best practices and lessons learned

 

Suggested candidate profile

 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. We are imaging that you as a person possess strong leadership skills and are curious, open-minded, and have excellent interpersonal skills.

You are, however, likely to succeed in this position if you: 

  • Hold a degree in engineering and have technical work experience to support decision-making and challenges during the project
  • Have several years of experience in medical device project management and come with a broad project management skillset and toolbox  
  • Are familiar with an international working environment, managing globally based project teams and suppliers
  • Are committed, structured, and have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work and team members
  • Ideally have a certification in Project Management
  • Ideally have experience with Process development and Production set-up for Medical devices 
  • Are willing to travel up to 20 days per year

It is a requirement that you are fluent in oral and written English.
