Ambu A/S is currently looking for an Operation Engineer to be based in our manufacturing plant in Penang, Malaysia.

 

Key responsibilities

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  1. Update of product BOM and verification of costs.  
  2. Initiate cost reduction initiatives via optimization processes, lean manufacturing, and automation.  
  3. Strive for ongoing enhancement and the minimization of production waste by conducting regular analyses and applying effective strategies that foster operational excellence.
  4. Enhance waste reduction efforts through projects and value stream mapping.  
  5. Create and assess systems aimed at minimizing or removing manual administration.  
  6. Oversee 5S and visual management practices.  
  7. Act as the label coordinator for the labelling system.  
  8. Support the establishment of the system, such as the reporting process for machine downtime, by collaborating with different departments.

Suggested candidate profile

 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:

 

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or equivalent.
  2. Have at least 2 years of related working experiences in lean manufacturing, advanced excel/power BI.
  3. Have strong communication skills, proficient in written and spoken English.
  4. Able to work independently and in a cross-cultural team.
