Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Group Financial Controller to be based in Penang, Malaysia.  

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Group Financial Controller to develop, improve and maintain consolidation and reporting processes while ensuring alignment with global strategies and compliance standards.  

As a Group Financial Controller, you will join the Group Controlling & Reporting team, who handles all aspects of financial controlling and reporting, group consolidation and related compliance in terms of technical accounting, internal financial controls and controlling visits.  

You will report to the Head of Financial Controlling & Reporting.  

 

Key responsibilities 

You will be working closely with Finance and other cross-functional colleagues in Ambu’s Global organisation both in the head office and local entities.  

Your overall responsibilities will be to: 

  • Focal point for master data structure in our consolidation tool. 

  • Developing, improving and maintaining documents and systems for the consolidation and reporting processes. 

  • Perform financial controlling and group financial analysis monthly for group reporting purposes.  

  • Contributing to the preparation of the Group's quarterly and annual external reports as well as presentations to Management and relevant stakeholders.  

  • Optimising existing processes to drive improvements, automation, and reduction of non-value adding activities. 

  • Collaborating closely within Finance and cross-functional colleagues to participate in the financial controlling of Ambu Group's monthly numbers. 

  • Acting as a reliable support and guide for the global organization, providing proactive assistance in reporting and consolidation-related matters. 

 

Suggested candidate profile 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you: 

 

  • Have a minimum 4 years in related experience or similar roles. 

  • Have a degree in accounting or professionally qualified (ACCA, CPA or CA). 

  • Experience with ERP systems, IT tools and consolidation systems including working with financial reporting and consolidation processes.  

  • Possess analytical and structural approach to your work but also apply logic and pragmatic thinking. 

  • Have a basic knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.  

  • Possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills,  

  • Excellent people skills, a result-driven mindset, and a positive attitude, with the proven ability to build informal relationships, influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across all levels. Your open mindset and curiosity, combined with professional scepticisms, enable you to deliver under pressure.
