Objective:
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Ensure the planned MO’s are being manufactured in the order they are scheduled.
- Report all required data into Inventory / ERP system.
- Ensures that all documentation related to incoming or outgoing product is correct per the specifications.
- Ensures that all tickets received from other areas of manufacturing for Work Orders are received and completed in a timely manner.
- Ensures that completed product is collected from all areas of manufacturing and stored in the designated location.
- Responsible for responding to employee concerns, escalating concerns to the appropriate personnel when necessary and following up with employees during this process.
- Responsible for performance management for operators, such as administering corrective actions, personnel improvement plans and appreciation for good work.
- Monitor productivity and performance levels of the team in relation to production targets and quality levels.
- Conducts documented conversations with employees to address absenteeism and offer support when needed.
- Gives work assignments to operators in accordance with production and warehouse needs.
- Foster an environment of open communication with all employees.
- Maintains product quality by enforcing organizational standards.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of equipment and resources.
- Ensures that production personnel are wearing proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
- Ensure that time and attendance occurrences are accurately recorded on the employee’s timecards.
- Review/correct employee timecards to ensure time is accurately recorded.
- Ensure all warehouse resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly.
- Support the supervisor and act as a supervisor fill in when needed.
- Support training functions and the Training Lead when needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Authorities:
- Stop production when product is not meeting the quality specifications.
- Discard products that have been damaged, contaminated or do not conform to product specifications.
- Discipline and terminate employees in accordance with company policy and involvement from the next level up of leadership
- Summon maintenance technicians as needed.
- Report safety, quality or other concerns on the line side or department boards and responsible personnel.
Work Environment:
This is a manufacturing facility and as a result, employees have the potential to be exposed to noise, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, machinery, vibration or other workplace hazards controlled within compliance of current safety and health standards.
Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of related experience.
- Experience working in the medical device industry preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk regularly throughout the workday.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Required Skills:
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
