Ambu A/S is currently looking for an NPI Engineer (Assembly Specialist & Trainer) for our NPI team to be based in Ambu Global Hub, in Penang, Malaysia.

 

Key responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the Process Integration, Process Engineering, and Equipment Development & Automation teams to assemble and build prototypes and samples in accordance with the build plan.
  2. Provide feedback on process and equipment improvements following the sample builds.
  3. Work with the Documentation Specialist team to create Work Instructions (WI).
  4. Train operators on assembly procedures using the established WI.
  5. Ensure operators accurately follow work instructions and monitor their performance, providing additional training as needed.
  6. Maintain training records and operator competencies, regularly updating them to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to assembly and training processes.
  8. Assists with global production line transfers and dual manufacturing initiatives, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and successful operators training, aligned with product quality standards.

Suggested profile:

  1. Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience in prototype assembly, sample builds, and operators training.
  3. Experience in process engineering and equipment development is a plus.
  4. Proficiency in using assembly tools and equipment.
  5. Ability to adapt to new processes and technologies quickly.
  6. Willingness to support global production line transfers and dual manufacturing initiatives.
  7. Proficiency in quality systems and standards, along with knowledge of FDA regulations and compliance requirements for medical devices, is a plus.
  8. Possesses strong attention to detail, coupled with effective communication and collaboration skills.
