Senior R&D Engineer (m/f/d)

 

Your responsibilities

  • Identify user needs, design inputs and specifications through participation in the project start-up phase
  • Concept, develop and mature mechanical design solutions of components and assemblies as well as optimization of existing designs
  • Responsibility for the mechanical design and construction of functionalities, parts and assembles including quality aspects
  • Translate technology concepts into fully working prototypes ready for feasibility testing and process analyses incl. documentation
  • Ensuring that the component or product is manufacturable in high scales, fulfils its function and stays within the cost framework
  • Documentation e.g. parts lists and component specifications in accordance with the regulations from FDA and ISO
  • Trusting cooperation with internal and external partners

 

 Your qualification

  • Successful completition of a technical or scientific course of study (mechanical or medical engineering)
  • 5 or more years' experience in product development, design of safety-critical products, preferably in the areas od disposable medical products
  • Experience in approval of medical devices in the core markets like US or Europe
  • Good knowledge of at least one CAD system (Inventor, Solid Works or CATIA)
  • Relevant experience in the design of mechanical and plastic components for high volumes from the fields of injection moldings, extrusion and tool design
  • Willingness for international travel activities
  • Fluent in German and English
