Global Product Manager – Upstream Leadership in Respiratory Endoscopy
We’re looking for an experienced Global Product Manager to take the commercial lead in shaping the future of our Respiratory Endoscopy portfolio, anchored by our pioneering bronchoscope platform. At Ambu, upstream product management is at the core of driving innovation and defining strategic direction. In this role, you will own the early-stage product lifecycle, ensuring that new solutions meet clinical needs, deliver strong business cases, and achieve competitive differentiation. By combining customer insights, clinical evidence, and market analysis, you will influence decisions that set the foundation for global success.
This position is based at Ambu’s headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark.
You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders — from healthcare professionals and global societies to internal partners in Medical Affairs, HEMA, MarCom, R&D, Business Development, and our global sales regions — ensuring our products deliver both clinical value and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global product management for new product development (NPD) within the stage-gate model, ensuring strategic and commercial excellence and adherence to the Target Solution Profile
- Assess and optimize clinical performance, business case attractiveness, and product differentiation throughout the development process leading to an impactful launch
- Provide strong cross-functional leadership across HQ and global regions, aligning priorities and execution with internal teams and external stakeholders such as KOLs and medical advisers
- Integrate clinical evidence, health economics, and market access strategies into product development to ensure global consistency and stakeholder commitment
- Transform insights and evidence into value propositions and strategic initiatives that differentiate solutions under development and inform pipeline decisions
- Shape and drive global launch readiness initiatives (upstream focus) to accelerate adoption and strengthen competitive positioning via close collaboration with downstream teams and regions
- Contribute to global portfolio and business strategy, providing input on commercial direction, growth priorities, and actionable initiatives based on market dynamics
What You Bring
- 5 years of experience in product management within medical devices; respiratory endoscopy or/and airway management experience is a strong advantage
- Experience in working in early product development, acting as commercial counterpart to R&D
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate clinical workflows and user needs into business opportunities.
- Strategic and analytical thinker, comfortable working with data, clinical evidence, and health economics.
- Ability to prioritize initiatives and resources to maximize impact.
- Excellent collaboration skills with a proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
- Global mindset, cultural adaptability, and openness to international and intercontinental business travel.
- Relevant degree in healthcare, business, or marketing.
