Enterprise Architect, Operations & Finance

Country/Region:  Denmark

Business Area:  IT
Department:  Enterprise Architecture & Strategic Technology Solutions
Employment Type:  Full-time
Req ID:  9881

Ambu is currently looking for an Enterprise Architect to be based in Ballerup.

As our new Enterprise Architect, you will operate at the intersection of business strategy, transformation execution, and technology governance.

We are at the beginning of a major transformation journey across ERP, QMS and PLM - launching one of the most significant ERP initiatives in Ambu’s history - and we need an Enterprise Architect who can help shape the direction, governance, and architectural foundation for this journey.

You will play a central role in shaping platform direction and architectural choices across our ERP, PLM, and QMS landscapes - all critical to Ambu’s long‑term transformation under the ZoomAhead strategy.

You will work with senior business and IT stakeholders and hold real influence through Design Authority leadership. Ambu’s architectural maturity varies across domains, giving you a unique opportunity to influence how Enterprise Architecture is practiced and embedded across the company.

Why join Ambu now?

This role exists at a moment where architectural choices genuinely matter and will have long-term impact:

  • The ERP transformation is multiyear and still shapeable, meaning key architectural decisions on scope and sequencing are not yet locked in.
  • PLM and QMS platforms are approaching a pivotal inflection point, creating a rare opportunity to align product lifecycle, quality, and enterprise platforms instead of treating them as isolated upgrades.
  • Ambu is ready to use Enterprise Architecture more deliberately - moving from fragmented decisionmaking toward clearer direction, stronger governance, and better crossinitiative coherence.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to influence outcomes directly, rather than inherit constraints.

Key responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading architectural direction and governance across ERP, PLM, and QMS platforms.
  • Shaping scope, sequencing, and long-term design decisions for Ambu’s multiyear ERP transformation.
  • Providing architectural leadership for PLM and QMS initiatives and ensuring alignment across enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborating with business and IT leadership to drive coherence, clarity, and strong decisionmaking across initiatives.
  • Orchestrating specialists, vendors, and technical teams to deliver aligned, valuedriven architecture outcomes.
  • Contributing to the evolution of Ambu’s Enterprise Architecture capabilities and practices.

Suggested candidate profile

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:

  • Bring senior-level Enterprise or Domain Architecture experience with clear accountability.
  • Have proven architectural leadership in large ERP transformation programs.
  • Have a strong background in Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing, combined with a deep understanding of finance processes - gained through handson involvement and deep understanding of ERP.
  • Can navigate complex, global, and regulated business environments.
  • Communicate pragmatically and clearly, and enjoy constructive dialogue with diverse stakeholders.
  • Can balance longterm architectural integrity with delivery realities and organizational readiness.
  • Thrive in environments where not everything is fully mature and see this as an opportunity to influence and improve.
  • Work collaboratively, stay curious, and prefer practical, valuedriven architecture over theoretical frameworks.
