Job Title: Contracts and Pricing Analyst

The Contracts and Pricing Analyst will focus on validating the indirect (trace) sales that are submitted by the third-party distributors of our products and resolving the discrepancies between the claims and the pricing/contract detail stored in the system. In doing so, the Contracts and Pricing Analyst is expected to be proactive in helping to develop and evolve the validation and discrepancy resolution process. The Contracts and Pricing Analyst will also work with a team to make certain that pricing and customer eligibility for that pricing is correctly entered and maintained in the pricing system. This individual will communicate extensively with internal and external business partners to resolve pricing/contracting issues, respond to queries, and distribute pricing and contracting information. This role is critical for ensuring orders, invoices, and chargeback payments are accurate.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Review the spreadsheets submitted by our 3rd party distributors to report indirect (trace) sales for adherence to content and formatting requirements, making corrections where necessary.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of contract pricing and business rules for customer pricing and contract eligibility.
- Perform daily validation of the flagged and quarantined trace sales: review the sales submitted by the distributors that do not match the information in the pricing system, update system pricing or mapping information as necessary, and communicate with distributors about inaccuracies in their submissions.
- Work with distributors to improve the accuracy and quality of the sales data that they submit and to prevent errors from occurring.
- Own the operational relationship with assigned distributors, covering the end-to-end process from sales submission to chargeback payment.
- Continuously review and help set the processes and standards by which trace sales are validated, master data information is updated, and issues are resolved.
- Review and process GPO membership adds, changes, and deletes as required to maintain accurate contract eligibility.
- Review the Trace Sale Report that is generated after trace sales are loaded to identify significant issues in the data that will affect the handoff to Sales Operations.
- Partner with various teams to identify, research, and troubleshoot complex discrepancies, variances, and sales changes.
- Participate in conference calls with distributors or stakeholders as needed to discuss and work through discrepancy and submission issues.
- Lead, improve, and document the onboarding process for distributors.
- Review and resolve price discrepancies identified on the EDI Price Discrepancies report and by Customer Service and other internal partners.
- Communicate price and price eligibility information to Sales, Customer Service, and external partners.
- Work on special projects and continuous improvement efforts as required.
- Assist in monitoring the Contracts mailbox, addressing questions and requests as required
- Crosstrain and support other members of the Contracts/Pricing team as necessary.
Qualifications /Experience:
- 2 – 4 years of experience in a similar role requiring customer-facing, financial, sales support, or analytic responsibilities (Contracts, Pricing, Accounting/Finance),
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel (particularly vLookups and pivot tables)
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to make sound judgements are critical.
- Independent – able to work with follow clearly outlined policies and directions with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Salesforce (desirable).
- Ability to adhere to hybrid schedule- 3 days on site.
