A regional role with a global impact
The purpose of the role is to strengthen the Risk & Compliance presence at the site level and support local leadership in promoting a strong culture of ethics, integrity, compliance, and risk management.
The Risk & Compliance Specialist will act as a facilitator, trusted advisor, and business partner to local leadership and the Senior Management Team. The role is intended to facilitate and advise rather than act as the site's authority or "police." Accountability and decision-making will remain with site leadership.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Support local leadership and the Senior Management Team as a trusted Risk &   
  Compliance Business Partner.
• Serve as a local point of contact for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
• Support local risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting activities.
• Support quarterly risk reporting and ongoing Business Continuity planning and related 
   procedures.
• Promote a strong culture of ethics, integrity, compliance, and responsible business 
  conduct.
• Support internal investigations related to ethics, Code of Conduct, Speak Up reports,   
   employees, and suppliers.
• Assist with and investigate alleged or suspected violations of applicable laws, regulations, 
  industry standards, and Ambu policies and procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis and support appropriate corrective actions.
• Promote the use of Ambu's Speak Up - Integrity Line.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver compliance-related training for employees and 
  managers.
• Promote awareness and understanding of the Ambu Code of Conduct and applicable
  compliance policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Corporate/Global Risk & Compliance to implement global initiatives 
   while adapting them to local business needs.
• Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies an
  procedures.


Authorities:


• Escalate identified compliance and risk concerns to the appropriate leadership and 
  Corporate/Global Risk & Compliance functions.
• Challenge or request additional review of activities, decisions, or processes that may    
   present significant compliance or risk concerns.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions related to identified compliance risks.
• Support the escalation and investigation of potential violations of laws, regulations, the 
  Ambu Code of Conduct, Policies, and Procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Law, Risk Management, Compliance, 
  Internal Audit, or a related field.
• Previous experience in Compliance, Investigations, Internal Audit, Risk Management, 
  Legal, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working in a multinational or regulated environment is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Strong judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters appropriately.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with local and global teams.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Occasional domestic and international travel may be required. Travel is expected to be minimal and based on specific business needs.  

 

 

 

Work Environment:  

This is a manufacturing facility and as a result, employees have the potential to be exposed to noise, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, machinery, vibration, or other workplace hazards controlled within compliance of current safety and health standards.
