The objective of this position is to lead production groups to perform assembly, packaging, handling, and inspection of products as specified, ensuring all directions are followed, including time, output, specifications, cooperation and decisions, support leadership to monitor and report area performance and actions for achievement and / or improvement.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Ensure line clearance and setup in accordance with the company procedure.
• Ensure all processing steps are performed in accordance with manufacturing 
   specifications (work orders) and production procedures.
• Ensure traceability of product by ensuring the manufacturing team is correctly identifying   
   product by lot- and part number, and ensure retraining is done if mistakes are made
• Ensure identification of defective products or components into the appropriate containers.
• Ensure the planned MOs are being manufactured in the order they are scheduled (FIFO).
• Ensure product quantities are correct per the work order specification. 
• Ensure the DHR (Device History Record) is accurate and legibly.
• Ensure DHR is delivered at the end of the shift to be posted into M3.
• Ensure adequate training is performed to all associates of the area.
• Foster an environment of open communication with all employees.
• Responsible to resolve or escalate conflicts on the line.    
• Follow and reinforce all GDP and GMP procedures with associates. 
• Ability to write legibly and perform written documentation in compliance with all 
  document control procedures and GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
• Ensures that information related to quality problems or nonconforming products is 
   communicated to those directly responsible for assuring the quality of such product or 
   the prevention of such problems.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean working area and common areas at all times.
• Communicate with the Leadership, any problem, idea, or solution which pertains to the 
   manufacturing department and/or its interaction with other departments.
• Responsible for always utilizing proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
• Standing as needed for up to an extended period to perform assigned tasks.
• Support training functions when needed and requested by the supervisor.

Authority:
• Stop production when product is not meeting the quality specifications and notify the 
   supervision.
• Discard products that have been damaged, contaminated or do not conform to product 
   specifications.

Education and Experience:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to communicate and interact with others
• 2+ years of related experience preferred.
• Experience working in the medical device industry preferred. 
• Ability to distinguish color.

Work Environment:  

This is a manufacturing facility and as a result, employees have the potential to be exposed to noise, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, machinery, vibration, or other workplace hazards controlled within compliance of current safety and health standards.
