Business Development Manager, Brazil

Ambu is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our LATAM team to be based in Brazil, reporting to the LATAM Commercial Director based also in Brazil. This role is responsible for driving regional sales growth and managing strategic relationships with our network of distributors across Brazil. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical devices, proven experience managing indirect sales channels (distributors), and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.

The external key stakeholders are the regional distributors as well as key opinion leaders within Ambu’s main segments in Brazil. Internally, the key stakeholders will be the LATAM team, the GEM management team and other relevant colleagues in the GEM marketing team, customer service, and the Regulatory Affairs (RA) teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Support the distributors in Brazil to grow the business, prioritizing the Endoscopy Solutions product line
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for Brazil based on the LATAM strategy for Ambu. Identify customer needs and adapt plans accordingly
  • Plan and execute sales and projects for full product range to reach annual objectives
  • Support the distributors to grow in existing accounts by increasing use among current users and expanding to new specialties and procedures in current accounts and in opening new accounts
  • Carry out regular documented Business Reviews with your Distributor partners and update CRM programs as required
  • Provide forecasts and be involved in the budgeting process
  • Work with Regulatory to facilitate product registrations where needed
  • Gather market information and competitive intelligence
  • Maintain close relations and contact with key external stakeholders such as distributors, top accounts and Key Opinion Leaders and internal stakeholders like customer service, clinical/training, product management, regulatory, etc.

  • A strong commercial profile with experience in Brazil and preferably also regional experience in LATAM within medical devices
  • Experience in managing indirect markets (distributors) in Brazil
  • A strong strategic profile and capabilities to prioritize
  • An entrepreneurial profile who thrives with many different responsibilities/tasks
  • Portuguese and English on a professional level is required
  • A positive can-do “the sky is the limit” attitude
