Department:  Global Supply Chain
Employment Type:  Full-time
Req ID:  9968

Are you driven by turning complex distribution data into insights that influence real business decisions? Would you thrive in a role where success is measured not by the number of produced reports, but rather by the quality of recommendations and their impact?

Ambu is looking for a Business Analyst, Global Distribution to be based at our HQ in Ballerup to strengthen fact-based decision-making across our global distribution network.

You will join the Global Distribution team within Global Supply Chain at Ambu. The team works globally to optimize and govern Ambu’s distribution setup, ensuring reliable, compliant, and cost-efficient delivery of medical devices to customers worldwide. You will report directly to Director of Global Distribution.

Key responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, Global Distribution, you will play a key role in transforming distribution data into actionable insights that support informed decisions on cost, performance, service, and risk across Ambu’s global distribution network. Working at the intersection of data, operations, and business decision-making, you will partner closely with Global Distribution, Finance, and other key business stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a trusted analytical partner to stakeholders by communicating insights and recommendations clearly, concisely, and with a strong business focus
  • Developing clear, fact-based scenarios and recommendations that quantify impact on cost, service level, and risk, making trade-offs transparent for decision-makers
  • Interpreting complex logistics, cost, and performance data to identify trends, deviations, and potential risks, moving beyond descriptive reporting to diagnostic insight
  • Creating and maintaining transparency on distribution and logistics cost drivers, including analysis of carrier, 3PL, and forwarder performance
  • Supporting savings initiatives and business cases through data-driven analysis and performance tracking
  • Conducting root-cause analysis on service and cost deviations and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the distribution network

Suggested candidate profile

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you possess:

  • Around 5+ years of experience within Distribution and/or Supply Chain, preferably in a global context
  • A relevant educational background (Bachelor’s or Master’s level) within Supply Chain or Value Chain Management or similar
  • Experience from global distribution set-ups and working with external 3PLs
  • Project management experience involving stakeholders across functions or geographies
  • Solid analytical skills with experience in logistics, operational, or financial cost analysis
  • Exposure to ERP systems and a good understanding of IT landscapes in a global manufacturing organization
  • Experience from healthcare or other regulated industries is an advantage, but not a requirement

As a person, you are analytical and structured, with a strong business mindset and attention to detail. You are comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity, and you take a proactive and curious approach to problem-solving. You collaborate well with others and are able to influence decisions by turning data into clear, fact-based insights and recommendations.
