Local role with global impact

In this role, you will be based in our office in Ballerup, Denmark, and work closely with our Software & Electronics teams in both Ballerup and Augsburg, Germany. You will take ownership of the system architecture across hardware and software, ensuring technical coherence, scalability, and alignment with business goals.

As System Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our Endoscopy System and act as a bridge between development teams and stakeholders across the organization.

Our teams work in a collaborative and agile environment, where open and honest discussions are key to solving complex problems.

 

More concretely, your work will involve the following:

  • Define and evolve the system architecture for our Endoscopy Systems
  • Align subsystem designs across teams and ensure seamless hardware/software integration
  • Translate business and product requirements into architectural solutions and technical roadmaps
  • Communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support planning activities with architectural input and feasibility assessments
  • Maintain system-level documentation including interfaces, data flows, and integration points
  • Contribute to medical device documentation and compliance efforts
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies and architectural patterns
  • Drive system-level risk assessments and mitigation strategies
  • Champion a culture of technical excellence and cross-team collaboration

 

Suggested candidate profile

Setting you up for success is one of our cornerstones. In order to do so, we imagine you have a university background within electronics, computer science or similar, and solid experience in system architecture for complex hardware/software integrated products.

 

Experience of the following is required:

  • Proven experience in system architecture for systems including both Hardware and Software
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in agile environments (Scrum, etc.)
  • Ability to balance technical depth with strategic thinking

 

Other requirements:

  • English, both written and spoken, is crucial for the role
  • Willingness to travel to Augsburg, Germany up to 20 days per year
