Our engineering team is looking for two experienced R&D Manufacturing Process Engineers with a proven track record in designing manufacturing processes and prototypes, ideally within medical devices industry.

 

Your focus will be on ensuring the proof of concepts within manufacturing processes and methods, to document the processes and process equipment for new products according to the business strategy and product requirements. You will also ensure that Ambu objectives for “time to market”, quality and cost for new products are met.

0+ skilled R&D and Innovation colleagues, you will be a part of the Innovation projects at our headquarter in Ballerup. Ambu’s Global Innovation organization, which consists of over 300 people, is located on multiple sites around the world. Global, user-driven innovation – from idea to launch 

 
As a Process Engineer you will design process equipment and set up pilot assembly lines together with colleagues on other sites ending with a design transfer to production. In addition, you will ensure review of own design and participate in cross functional design reviews.

  

Your main responsibilities will be to: 

 

•    Participate in process & technology innovation within NPI. 

•    Be a part of the module development or development projects with responsibility for NPI related tasks.

•    Develop, specify and implement new processes and ensure process validation at Ambu manufacturing sites.  

•    Ensure design for manufacturing is incorporated in product design. 

•    Ensure process optimizations of new production processes associated with the implementation of new product design. 

•    Cooperate closely with the Global Ambu organization. 

•    Manage procurement needs and manage subcontractors in connection with the development and implementation activities to meet specified requirements in terms of cost, quality and delivery. 

 
 

Key competences 

 
You hold a master’s degree preferably in production engineering or mechanical engineering. You have  approx. +10 years within R&D and Innovation. You have a track record in NPI development and have outstanding skillsets to design prototypes. You need to be able to communicate via 3D modelling and 2D of parts and assemblies.  

 

You have a strong technical foundation and interest, and you can understand technical implications of various options, also in relation to production. You work well in teams and can comply with tight deadlines, while managing multiple assignments.  

  

As a person you are curious, highly motivated, and flexible. You have great interpersonal skills which make you thrive in global teams. You have a passion for new challenges. You have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work. You work in a structured and proactive way, but you are flexible and able to “think out of the box”.
