Position Summary 

The Global Process Owner (GPO) for Requirement to Inventory is accountable for the design, standardization, governance, performance, and continuous improvement of Ambu's global end-to-end Requirement to Inventory process. The role serves as the enterprise authority for how the process should operate across the organization, ensuring alignment, consistency, and scalability across regions, business units, and functions. 

The GPO has final decision authority for global process design, standards, business rules, controls, and high-level ways of working within the Requirement to Inventory domain. The role owns the global process governance framework, process performance expectations, KPI structure, and continuous improvement roadmap. 

Working closely with Global Business Owners, Global Process Leads, IT, and business stakeholders, the GPO ensures that ERP capabilities, solution designs, and business requirements remain aligned with approved global standards while balancing justified operational, regulatory, supplier, and local business requirements. The role is responsible for safeguarding end-to-end process integrity and ensuring sustainable process ownership beyond programme completion.

You’ll standardize these processes globally while balancing customer experience, revenue protection, compliance and logistic/warehouse efficiency 

Core Responsibilities 

• Act as Business Workstream Lead within our transformation 

• Own the global Requirement to Inventory process vision, scope, standards, governance, roadmap, performance, and continuous-improvement priorities. 

• Define end-to-end principles covering distribution footprint, inventory and capacity planning, inventory policies, master data, inbound and outbound warehouse flows, inventory control, 3PL management, reporting, and period end. 

• Drive fit-to-standard design, simplify material and information flows, reduce manual work and local variants, and ensure integration with Plan to Produce, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Quality, Finance, and master data. 

• Lead process decisions and trade-offs involving service, inventory, working capital, landed margin, warehouse efficiency, compliance, and business continuity. 

• Mobilize planning, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, 3PL, and site experts; ensure representative design input, test coverage, readiness, training, and adoption. 

• Establish process KPIs, controls, data standards, decision rights, and benefit tracking, including inventory accuracy, availability, working capital, warehouse performance, and process compliance. 

Key Deliverables 

• Mobilize and govern: Approved global Requirement to Inventory architecture, scope, design principles, roles, controls, and decision rights. 

• Design: Fit-to-standard requirements and design decisions across inventory planning, warehousing, inventory control, 3PL management, reporting, and cross-process interfaces. 

• Build and test: Validated scenarios, test coverage, data readiness, work instructions, training, cutover, and site and 3PL deployment readiness. 

• Deploy and adopt: Post go-live governance, KPI cadence, stabilization, adoption tracking, continuous improvement roadmap, and benefit realization. 

Required Experience & Capabilities 

You’ll bring experience leading global business transformation in complex international organizations. We understand that skills and experience can be earned in many ways, and that the best fit for a role isn’t always what’s on paper. 

You’ll likely have: 

• 10+ years of experience from industry or consulting, working with supply chain, operations, and business transformation 

• Experience leading large-scale ERP-enabled transformation programmes or Requirement to Inventory work streams (SAP S/4HANA, Infor, Oracle Cloud or similar) 

• Deep expertise across the complete Requirement to Inventory value stream 

• Experience designing global template processes and operating models 

• Strong understanding of business process governance, Master Data and process harmonization 

• Experience working alongside Systems Integrators and technical delivery teams bridging business and IT 

• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leadership 

• A structured, proactive, and outcome-oriented way of working 

• Experience operating within highly regulated environments (Medical Devices, Life Sciences or Pharmaceuticals is advantageous) 

• Willingness to travel regularly as part of a global role, across Ambu’s full footprint (E.g., US, Germany, Malaysia, China, and Mexico) 

• Comfortable working across time zones, with flexibility to occasionally engage outside standard working hours 

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
