We are looking for a highly qualified Global Legal Counsel to play a pivotal role in supporting our business within the areas of technology, data privacy and international contracts. You will be part of the Global Legal department and work from Ambu’s headquarter in Ballerup.

 

Ambu develops, manufactures, and sells medical devices. Millions of patients and healthcare professionals depend on the functionality and performance of Ambu’s products worldwide. 

 

Key responsibilities

 

Technology:

  • Take responsibility for delivering a top-tier approach to new technology legislation, including AI, Data, Product liability and Cybersecurity, and identify solutions within regulatory frameworks that align with Ambu’s strategy.
  • Support new product development initiatives e.g. software development and upgrades.  

 

Privacy:

  • Provide advice on data privacy e.g., in relation to development of new products.

 

Commercial legal matters:

  • Draft, review and negotiate international contracts, e.g., consulting agreements, NDA’s, R&D development agreements, manufacturing agreements and IT contracts.
  • Provide support to projects in general.
  • Provide advice on various commercial legal matters.

 

Risk Assessments:

  • Conduct risk assessments across relevant legal frameworks in collaboration with Information Security.

 

Collaborative work:

  • Act as a proactive legal partner to our global organizations in R&D, IT, Information Security and Procurement in relation to technology, data privacy and procurement.
  • Provide employee training.
  • Collaborate and ensure alignment with legal colleagues in Denmark, USA and Malaysia as well as external lawyers

 

Solution-oriented candidate with a pragmatic approach

 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. However, you are likely to succeed if: 

  • You hold a master’s degree within Law (cand.jur) and have 3+ years of experience with legal counselling either from a law firm or as in-house legal counsel working with technology law, data privacy and international contracts.
  • You should have a keen interest in technology and a general interest in working with data privacy and contracts from a broader perspective.
  • You thrive on handling a wide range of tasks and consistently deliver professional and constructive solutions with a business mindset. You possess excellent analytical skills, know how to prioritize and meet deadlines, and have great communication skills.
  • You are methodical and thorough, able to work effectively on multiple projects without losing sight of details and quality. It is essential that you are committed, proactive, and able to identify and explore opportunities. You have high integrity and strong interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Since we are a global company, you will be involved in cross-cultural collaboration, which means that you must be fluent in Danish and English, both orally and in writing.
