Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Distribution Specialist to be based in our HQ in Ballerup.

You will be part of the Global Distribution team in Global Supply Chain. In this role, you will coordinate daily warehousing and shipping activities, resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement across our European distribution setup. You will work closely with our 3PL partners, carriers, internal Supply Chain stakeholders and IT teams.
This position offers an opportunity to build broad expertise across warehousing, transportation, ERP processes and 3PL operations, while contributing directly to reliable customer delivery and Ambu’s growth journey.
Key responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Continuously optimize Distribution processes and workflows, ensuring efficient, scalable and compliant operations across warehousing and transportation.
- Lead root-cause investigations of operational issues, recurring deviations and service challenges, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate and support cross-functional projects related to distribution, logistics, systems and process optimization, ensuring timely execution and stakeholder alignment.
- Drive implementation of new processes, workflows, system enhancements and operational requirements, including user testing, documentation, training and adoption support.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, 3PL providers and carriers to identify opportunities that improve service, quality, cost and customer experience.
- Monitor key operational metrics and improvement initiatives, providing insights and recommendations that support continuous performance improvement.
Suggested candidate profile
Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:
- Solid experience in distribution, warehousing, shipping or transportation operations, preferably within a 3PL setup
- Experience in use of ERP systems and knowledge of operational system flows
- Experience from a global manufacturing, healthcare or regulated environment is a plus
- Ability to manage daily and occasionally operational tasks and exceptions with a structured, systematic and detail-oriented approach
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational follow-up and continuous improvement
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across external partners and global teams
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage
