Ambu A/S is currently looking for an experienced Design Owner with a MedTech background to lead the design process for post-launch products. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholder engagement to ensure product enhancements and efficient execution of design updates.

 

You will be a part of the Patient Monitoring & Anaesthesia Solutions Team in Global R&D, where you will be responsible for our successful Anaesthesia products on the marked. The Global Solutions team consist of strong profiles of Design Owners, Project Managers and Product Owners and is based across our Innovation sites in Ballerup, Denmark and Penang, Malaysia. Key responsibilities

 

In this role, you will have the design ownership for a range of our successful launched products and in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the products fulfill the user needs.

 

Furthermore, you will:

  • Evaluate design enhancements based on user feedback and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement product updates.
  • Maintain the system overview and system architecture.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Be part of the Global Solutions Team, where you will share and support on best practice and lessons learned.

 

Suggested candidate profile

 

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you have:

 

  • A technical background, preferably with a degree in mechanical Engineering or medical technology.
  • Previous experience as a Design Owner or similar role in the medical device industry
  • Strong understanding of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations)
  • A good understanding of customer value creation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders.
  • Can communicate to a high level in English, both spoken and written.

Furthermore, you are an excellent collaborator and able to positively engage with colleagues across departments and in different working time zone. You should expect 15-20 travel days per year.
