Ambu A/S is currently looking for a 3PL Manager, Global Distribution to be based in Ballerup, Denmark.
In this role, you will take ownership of Ambu’s global third-party logistics (3PL) setup, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective distribution operations across regions. You will act as the global process owner for 3PL management, driving performance, transparency, and continuous improvement while working closely with Logistics, Procurement, Quality, and regional stakeholders.
This is a key role for someone motivated by combining operational execution with process ownership and stakeholder collaboration in a global environment, with strong opportunities to influence how we manage our external logistics network going forward.
Key responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Owning the global 3PL landscape, acting as primary contact for logistics providers and driving strong partnerships
- Managing supplier performance through KPIs, follow-ups, and business reviews to ensure high service levels and accountability
- Driving cost management, including budgeting, analysis, and optimization initiatives in close collaboration with Procurement
- Acting as global process owner for 3PL management, ensuring standardized and scalable ways of working
- Leading and supporting global supply chain projects within warehousing and distribution, acting as SME for warehousing in cross-functional initiatives
- Driving continuous improvement and network optimization initiatives across regions and stakeholders
- Acting as the primary escalation point for operational warehouse issues, ensuring timely resolution and alignment between Ambu stakeholders and logistics providers
- Identifying and mitigating operational risks within the distribution network, including capacity, service, compliance, and business continuity risks
- Supporting quality and compliance processes (incl. SCARs, CAPAs, NCR handling), ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards
Suggested candidate profile
Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:
- 5+ years of experience within 3PL management, logistics, or distribution operations
- Bring strong supplier management skills, including performance governance and stakeholder collaboration
- Have experience working with Procurement on contracts, supplier selection, and commercial discussions
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of cost drivers and a track record of driving optimization initiatives
- Are comfortable working in a global supply chain environment with multiple stakeholders
- Have a structured, analytical, and data-driven mindset
- Are a strong communicator, able to balance a collaborative and approachable style with a clear and demanding approach, building trust and driving alignment across functions and cultures
